Wim holds a Degree in Law from the University of Ghent (Belgium) and completed his MBA from IE (Instituto de Empresa) Business School Madrid in 2006. 

He has 7 years of experience in the legal sector and HR.

He pursued an MBA at IE Business School (Madrid). After graduation, he joined IE’s Career Management Center in 2007, with a strong focus on Placement, Job Search Coaching, Career education and Program Design.

Wim became a seasoned expert dealing with a wide range of industries (Financial Services, Energy, Consulting and Industrial Goods) and with the quintessential labour markets for international professionals: Switzerland, US, UK, Canada. Australia, Singapore, Germany, Benelux, France,  Middle East (mainly Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar) etc. In this respect, he has been collaborating with a fine selection of well-regarded corporate recruiters.

Among other activities, he designed the IE Finance track in 2010 (a soft-skill enhancement program for a leading Spanish bank) and organized the first edition of the IE Energy Day in 2011 in collaboration with the IE Energy Club. In August 2011 he was appointed as Senior Associate Director - Head of Corporate Recruiting Relations. In this role, he led a team of 4 career professionals and monitored recruiting relations with blue chip firms including GE, Booz, Vestas, Monitor, BCG, McKinsey, Inditex, JP Morgan, Credit Suisse and Cargill. 

During fall 2012, he decided to make his next career step which he had been considering for quite some time: launching his own training and coaching business: ‘Career Boutique Madrid’. Since then, he has coached several high-potential individuals at junior, mid-management and executive level, looking for a change in their professional life.

In February 2013 he started a collaboration with Netexpat (a global leader in assessing, training and coaching expatriates and their partners) and has been dealing since then with several coaching and cross-cultural communication assignments in the Spanish market. 

In 2015/2016 , Wim also started to deliver several teambuilding, soft skills enhancement and cross-cultural communication workshops to SMEs and technology ventures, based in Madrid.

In addition, since autumn 2013, he is collaborating with Nebrija University and B-school, EAE, IE Univeristy and Schiller University: teaching of Employability, Competencies Development, Leadership and Communication courses to undergraduate students + International Management course to a class of international students.
